Mediocrity is natural. You don’t have to do anything to drift there. It just happens.                                                             –Michael Hyatt, Author

Re-Ignite is not natural. You have to want to stay on fire. You have to intentionally pursue passion and purpose in life.                           — Leona Bergstrom, Director, Re-Ignite

Everywhere I go I watch my age-peers grit their teeth and say something like,  “I don’t want to get old.” Or,  “I’m not ever going to be like my _____.” Or, “Not me. I’m never going to retire and sit around. Not me.”

Honestly, I feel that way too. I want to believe that I am, and will continue to be,  fantastically unique, powerfully productive and enviably secure. However, daily I realize that it takes a ton of strength and courage to NOT go down the lazy stream of mediocrity. It takes resolve and intentionality to live this stage of life with purpose and passion.

I’ve seen lazy rivers. It’s easy to paddle for awhile, but eventually, it’s just easier to drift. It’s natural. But, it’s a mediocre experience. I’d really rather do a little white water rafting.

Want to join me? Consider a Re-Ignite experience! We are passionate about seeing adults on fire in life and ministry.
