We enjoy speaking and leading workshops for Boomers. It is always exciting to see how our generation is navigating the transitions that come with having more and more birthdays.
One of our favorite workshops is entitled “Oh, the Places….” The presentation is inspired by that wonderful book written and illustrated by Dr. Seuss in 1990. Interestingly, this was the last book he saw published in his lifetime. I like to think he was leaving a message for us. For Boomers it is profound.
Richard and I are astounded at the places we are going! God is so creative in opening doors to share Re-Ignite in unique environments and places.
This week we literally launched into new waters by taking Re-ignite on a sailboat in the Caribbean. Who would have 
ever imagined? We are partnering with Catch the Wind Sailing Ministries and hosting a very small group of boomers on a six-day sail. Every morning we gather on deck or in the salon to study a session of the Re-Ignite process. Think of it as an exotic and adventurous Boomer Camp! We believe God is going to speak deeply into all of our lives.
Re-Ignite has some other adventures planned. We want to follow Gods calling and proclaim the message that God has a plan for our generation. He wants to change lives and radically transform our understanding of aging, Oh, the places this generation will go.
Dr. Seuss says it this way…
Today is your day. You’re off to Great Places! You’re off and away. You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. ….Oh, the places you’ll go! — Dr. Seuss
The apostle Paul says something quite similar:
Here’s what I want you to do. I want you to get out there and walk…better yet, run!…on the road God called you to travel! I don’t want any of you sitting around on your hands.
I don’t want anyone strolling off, down some path that goes nowhere. And mark that you do this with humility and discipline….
