The winter of 2020 changed all of our lives. An infectious virus termed COVID 19 ripped through families, cities, and nations, causing unimaginable harm. Categorized as a global pandemic, it set the stage for global, institutional, and personal transformation. As we come out of months of isolation and restrictions, we realize nothing is as it was, and we will probably never get “back to normal” again. Therefore, we must consider what it means to emerge and re-enter life and community post-pandemic.
In our research and writing, we find Boomers are significantly impacted by the pandemic. Emerging is challenging, perplexing, and possibly stimulating. In 2016 we wrote the book Third Calling: What are you doing the rest of your life? It was written from the perspective of life as it was six years ago—and much of that has changed thanks to Covid. Now we are on the brink of emerging into a new post-pandemic world, and we have further questions and new opportunities. Thus, we are writing our next book entitled Emerging! © and are asking for your help. Would you be willing to answer a few questions and possibly share your emerging story with us?
